The Castle Museum’s collection is a physical trace of the culture of Jews who once lived in south-eastern Poland. Every year Jews from all over the world come to Łańcut and nearby Leżajsk to visit the graves of tsadikim and pray at the eighteenth-century synagogue in Łańcut. Jewish culture in Łańcut is not defunct, but continues to play an important role. The Łańcut Castle Museum collection includes Torah scrolls, rare books, Kiddush cups, besamim boxes, Hanukkah lamps, skullcaps and mezuzot, as well as many photographs of Jewish life in Łańcut.
